Biography of Presenter:
Don Gorsalitz is the president of DCG Philanthropic Services Inc. He has developed a breadth of valuable information during more than 20 years as a professional fundraiser. Don has extensive knowledge and training in all aspects of fundraising from marketing and communications to donor recruitment, donor solicitation, staff and volunteer engagement, and campaign management from working on annual, planned giving, endowment and capital campaigns.
As a volunteer, he provides mentorship to many fundraising professionals and pro-bono counsel to many small not-for-profit organizations. Don eagerly shares his expertise at board and staff meetings, workshops and conferences in Saskatchewan and beyond. Over the years, Don has served leadership roles with the following professional development organizations: Canadian Association of Gift Planners - Saskatoon; Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Saskatoon Chapter; and Saskatoon Society of Fundraising Executives. He has also strengthened the fund development field by teaching AFP’s Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) review course for those seeking that designation. Don also gives back to the community by volunteering for numerous organizations.
